This week would (probably) have been the week of Amazon Prime Day, had the coronavirus pandemic not scrambled the retail industry (and just about every other industry.) While we’ll have to wait until at least October for Prime Day to arrive, Newegg is moving forward with its annual FantasTech sale. Usually a Prime Day competitor, the FantasTech sale discounts tons of tech, including gaming PCs and accessories. The best deal from that sale is probably the MSI GS75 Stealth, a lightweight gaming laptop, on sale for $2,299.99, or $600 off retail price. Amazon is also discounting some PC accessories, notably the HyperX Alloy Origins Core, a tenkeyless gaming keyboard.

Nintendo Switch owners should check out two deals at Amazon. The first is a Nintendo Switch Pro controller, down to $59.99 (usually $69.99.) The second is a Gold Box deal of the day on storage devices, including Switch-compatible microSD cards. The best value there is a SanDisk Extreme 512 GB model, on sale for $79.99, which is 60% off its retail price.

Finally, Amazon is extending its $10 pre-order discount on select video games to Far Cry 6, due out in February. The latest entry in Ubisoft’s first-person shooter franchise is available to pre-order on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $49.94. (Note that it will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, though pre-orders for those versions are not yet available.)
